THE BRIS OF THE MISHKAN – THE LUCHOS 5772

When the Torah lists the materials that were donated for the building of the Mishkan we can obviously notice the difference between the earlier materials and the later ones. “You shall take from them gold, silver and copper; And turquoise, purple and scarlet wool linen and goat hair. And red dyed ram skins,  tachash skins, acacia wood. Oil for illumination, spices for the anointment oil and the aromatic incense. Shoham  stones and stones for the settings for the ephod and breastplate”. The earlier materials were connected with the letter vov.

The sockets were the foundation of the Mishkan. There were two sets of sockets. One made out of silver which held up the “kerashim” the panels of the Mishkan wall. The second were made out of copper which sustained the wall of the courtyard “chazter”. Why the difference in the materials even though they were used for the identical purpose?

Terumah- The Mishkan

One of the components of the Mishkan was the Techashim, as Rashi writes it was an undomesticated animal brought into existence only for the short time of building the Mishkan.
