Metzora and Lee

When someone detects a negah of tzaraas in his house he must go to the Kohen and state כנגע נראה לי בבית  like a negah I have seen in my house. At first glance the word   לי  seems superfluous. Obviously the man who approaches the Kohen is referring to his own house. Then why was it necessary for the Torah to add the word  לי ?
